On this episode of PROPcast, we will be talking with Abe and Elona on the culture, politics and geography of Cascadia. But first, a few definitions:
- Timbers Army – is an independent supporters group of Portland Timbers, a football (soccer) club in Major League Soccer—the top tier of the United States soccer pyramid.
- Bioregionalism is a political, cultural, and ecological system or set of views based on naturally defined areas called bioregions, similar to ecoregions.Bioregions are defined through physical and environmental features, including watershed boundaries and soil and terrain characteristics.
- Cascadia is the name of a bioregion and proposed country located within the Pacific Northwest of North America. Potential boundaries differ, with some drawn along existing political state and provincial lines, and others drawn along larger ecological, cultural and economic boundaries.
